The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is home to clinical and anatomic pathologists who are experts in identifying disease or abnormal growths in tissues.

Our staff are trained to work compassionately with children of all ages, from infants to adolescents.  We work with parents and children to help them understand the process for blood, urine, and tissue tests. 

Clinical Initiatives

We manage a full-service clinical laboratory along with several specialty laboratories to meet our patients needs as well as the needs of our community.  

National & International Requests for Consultation

We provide some of the most comprehensive pediatric pathology service programs nationwide.  Our methods and techniques are state-of-the-art.  And our staff are often consulted for their expertise nationally and internationally.

Research Initiatives

We are conducting basic, translational, and clinical research to improve medical testing, and resulting care for children.
