Our Department offers children, families and health care professionals an integrated program of patient care, education and research.

The Department’s role extends outside the operating room setting to include pain management, remote anesthesiology, clinical consultation and critical care services.

We serve more than 2,500 patients annually, while the Comfort & Pain Management Program makes 4,000 patient visits each year. Nearly 18,000 anesthetic procedures are performed by our Department each year.  In addition, we serve more than 2,500 patients annually through two intensive care units in the hospital.

OUR FACULTY

Our 38-member faculty is board certified in pediatric anesthesiology and critical care medicine, with many of our physicians also boarded in pediatrics.

RESEARCH

The Department has contributed significantly to anesthesia literature over the past several decades, furthering the understanding and growth of this specialty.

FELLOWSHIPS

The Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine has an active, highly regarded fellowship program for anesthesiology and pediatric critical care.
